Knew it wouldn’t take long for the awesome William Fichtner – did I mention he’s awesome? – to find employ after the expected cessation of “Prison Break”, which he truly rocked on (Regardless, the guy has never been out of work for five minutes).
Fichtner, who played agent Alex Mahone on the recently canned FOX series, has been cast on HBO megahit “Entourage”. The actor, whose long list of credits includes “Go”, “Virtuosity” and “First Snow”, will play Phil Yagoda, a slick TV producer who had a hit teen series in the 1990s and is trying to remake it with Johnny Drama (Kevin Dillon). Matt Letscher and Scott Caan have also been tapped for multiarc roles on the series, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Source: moviehole.net
After being that guy we love to hate, T-Bag, in Prison Break, Robert Knepper is set to become yet another guy we love to hate. Or so it seems, for now. And, of all places, it's Heroes.
Knepper has signed on to become the lead villain in the fourth season of the NBC series, which will premiere in the fall. For at least six episodes, he will play Samuel, the character referred to as "Carnival Barker" in previous releases. He'll be charismatic, all right, but he'll be evil, like every other villain. The character will possess a wickedly twisted sense of humor, and he is expected to peek into the lives of all the heroes. The guy we used to know as T-Bag--the supremacist who's flipped side more often than anybody else in Prison Break, but ended up returning to jail after a failed attempt to bow down to the Company--is set to start shooting Heroes, with the rest of the cast, later this week. The series is set to return for its fourth season on NBC this fall. Source: BuddyTV

Curious on what song was playing in that last scene of the season finale?
Found it : It's called "Lay It Down Easy" by Spiritualized Great song! The music was quite moving and really I think it caught the last moments of the show quite well. I felt that the lyrics really spoke to what the show was about -- sacrifice for others' survival.

Next week, after four successful seasons, the Fox series Prison Break is going off the air, and the publicity team at Fox sent over a little reminder to tune in -- a press release, accompanied by a bar of soap. The marketing team at Fox used this gimmick once before while promoting the third season's premiere in New Zealand in 2008. Those bars of soap featured the imprint of a key -- an attempt to show how keys are sometimes duplicated in prison. The soap was then strategically placed in bars and clubs. The bar of soap sent to The Advocate just features the run dates of the series, and the accompanying press release reads, "We hope the enclosed bar of PRISON BREAK soap helps lather up excitement for the two-hour series finale airing Friday, May 15." “It’s unfortunate that Fox thinks a veiled reference to prison rape is an appropriate part of their marketing campaign for this show," Rashad Robinson, senior director of media programs for the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, said in an exclusive statement to The Advocate. Fox was approached for comment but did not respond by deadline. The series, about two brothers breaking in and out of prison while attempting to expose a government conspiracy, stars Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller. ![]()

Visiting with TV Guide Network's Hollywood 411, Prison Break original cast member Robert Knepper reflected on his run as Theodore "T-Bag" Boswell. "He started out as just the bad, bad boy," says the actor, only to evolve into "an in-depth kind of guy." Fox's Prison Break (now airing Fridays at 8 pm/ET) concludes its four-year run on May 15, with a two-hour episode that ties up many plot threads. "The writers have had the time to wrap it up," says Knepper. "This definitely has an ending." But what sort of ending lies ahead for T-Bag? Will he die, get shoved back into prison, or perhaps lead a life of anonymous leisure à la Hannibal Lecter? Of all the options available to the writers, "I think they picked the greatest one," smiles Knepper, mum on his character's exact fate.. Watch the full Q&A below.

The wild ride is almost over for the bad boys and good guys on "Prison Break." The Fox thriller returns at 9 tonight for a short run that will end with the series finale on May 15. A "Prison Break" rerun at 8 tonight recaps the past and sets up the final storyline. There will be several twists and turns, surprises, returning characters and a death or two along the way. Fans want to know what will happen to brothers Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell), who have survived some improbable adventures. After a riveting first season in which the ever-cool mastermind Michael helped the wrongly convicted Lincoln escape from the Fox River Penitentiary, they have been on the run. Michael landed in a Panama prison, and, after another breakout, he and Lincoln are trying to bring down a mysterious conspiratorial agency. The cast, crew and producers "always knew there would be an expiration date," says executive producer Matt Olmstead. In a telephone interview Wednesday, he said it was time to pull the plug because they had run out of plausible ideas to keep the show going.
Since I am rather behind (ahem, sorry!) on my summaries, here is a quick summary of what has happened throughout most of the season, to give you all some idea if you are jumping back in tonight.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Actor Stacy Keach, in Los Angeles with a touring production of the play "Frost/Nixon," was hospitalized on Tuesday for an undisclosed health problem, his representative said. Keach, 67, plays late former U.S. President Richard Nixon in the stage production of "Frost/Nixon." "Actor Stacy Keach was hospitalized this morning (March 17) and is in a Los Angeles hospital in stable condition," his spokesman Dick Guttman said in a statement. He said further details would be released on Wednesday. Keach is perhaps best known for his portrayal of detective Mike Hammer on the 1980s television show of the same name. From 2005 to 2007, he starred in the TV drama "Prison Break." His film roles include a boxer in 1972's "Fat City," a white supremacist in 1998's "American History X" and a preacher in the 2008 "W.", about former President George W. Bush. In a December interview with Reuters, he talked about his need to keep working and stay busy, as well as his love of the game of golf which he tries to play once a week. He was arrested in 1984 and jailed for six months after being caught carrying cocaine at London's Heathrow Airport. "I never went near it again," he said. "Everyone at the time said the sentence was too harsh. But it saved my life." The touring production of "Frost/Nixon" is scheduled to end its run in Los Angeles on March 29, and there were no details on how his hospitalization would impact the play. Director Ron Howard adapted "Frost/Nixon" into a 2008 movie of the same name, which was nominated for a best picture Oscar and had Frank Langella in the role of Nixon.

Our favorite convicts may be leaving the small screen forever in the coming months, but they aren't sailing off into the sunset without some additional airtime to wrap up loose ends.... E! Online reports that Fox has ordered two more episodes of Prison Break, (tentatively) titled "The Old Ball and Chain" and "Free." These episodes will serve as a follow-up to the finale, taking place a couple of days following the shocking events that will occur in the finale. While these two bonus hours of Prison Break in no way begins to mend my broken heart, it certainly gives me a little more respect for Fox since they are trying to do right by the fans. The best scenario would have been to rescind the cancellation of course, but I'll accept the borrowed time as I try to get over the loss of yet another fantastic show. The final episodes are set to begin airing April 17 on Fox.
![]() Wentworth Miller Nears “Prison Break” End Getting ready to say goodbye to his Michael Scofield character, Wentworth Miller got all tangled up in rope while filming the last episodes of the drama “Prison Break” in Marina del Rey on Friday (January 30). In what’s come as disappointing news tot he show’s fans, FOX announced it was canceling the show because it had “played out” after three years on the air. After the decision was made, the show’s executive producer Zack Estrin told E!, “We’ve always known that this would probably be our last season. And we’ve been approaching the stories as such. It was, and is, very important to the writers that this show have an ending. A completed story. Our fans have been so loyal and invested. We owe it to them as well as to these characters. And to just keep this tale spinning along forever would be irresponsible. Safe is never terribly interesting. Safe may last a little longer, but will it be remembered 10 years from now? I don’t know. But I believe Prison Break will be remembered. Has it been perfect? Of course not. But it’s been unique. It’s been provocative. It’s been iconic. And, most importantly, it’s been entertaining. At the end of the day, isn’t that the point of it all?” Meanwhile, you can catch the final episodes of the one-time hit series when they begin airing April 17 on FOX. 13 Photos have been added to the library!
![]() I read this morning that Daniel E Allar, the actor who played "Avocado" on the first and second season of Prison Break has passed away. He was only 46 and had been suffering from a long bout with colon cancer. When he was filming Season 1, he was still going through treatments. I want to pass on my thoughts and condolences to his family and friends and let them know I am thinking of them. He was a great actor and when we rewatch episodes and at this time certainly, Daniel will surely be missed. Source: Chicago Tribune Daniel E. Allar didn't just play in Peoria. His distinctive looks and versatile acting talents took him to the Chicago-area's top theatrical venues and even to Carnegie Hall. Solidly built at 6-foot-8, the Peoria native and father of two performed in everything from serious dramas to comedies. His stage credits included the Goodman, Chicago Shakespeare, First Folio and Porchlight theaters. "Dan was one of our city's most beloved actors and the world's most gentle giant," said Barbara Gaines, the founder and artistic director of Chicago Shakespeare Theater. "There wasn't a show he worked that he couldn't glean a laugh or tear from an audience." Mr. Allar also appeared on the Fox television series "Prison Break," where he played inmate Avocado in several episodes.

Prison Break is finally getting locked up for good. Fox announced Tuesday that the current season of the program will be its last. The fourth and final season will return to the air Friday, April 17 at 8 p.m. “Prison Break had a hell of a run but it's at the end of its run,” said Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly at the Television Critics Association winter press tour in Los Angeles. “We'll put that one in the win column.” Reilly made it clear he didn't give the series the hook. "It just played out," he said. "We want to finish strong." Prison Break was a surprise hit when it premiered on Fox in 2005, though the series has veered from its originally storyline as a jail escape. In the current season the action shifted to panama, with the Scofield brothers trying to retrieve a device that holds the secrets to the organization hunting them down.

Oh, Wentworth Miller, how you toy with your legion of fans. Mr. Miller, who has a rabid fan base (especially here at BuddyTV), has become known as something of a recluse or, at least, a person wary of any and all media attention. So, it was semi-big news when it was announced that the cast of Prison Break would be making their first in-person appearance at this year's San Diego Comic-Con. Tonight, you could feel the young females in the room squirm with excitement as the 24 panel ended and the stage was prepared for Prison Break. Little did they know that intense disappointment was on its way. First, the FOX/Prison Break representative went out and put down the placards for the panel. There were the names you wanted to see: Dominic Purcell, Sarah Wayne Callies and, most important of all, Wentworth Miller. It was coming true, Wentworth fans felt, they were finally going to see him in person. Then, they showed the first ten or so minutes of the fourth season premiere. The crowd was lathered up and rarin' to go. Finally, the moment of truth; the cast and creative team arrived on stage. There was executive producer Matt Olmstead, there was Sarah Wayne and Dominic and...that was it. Wentworth Miller was nowhere to be seen, and the crowd lost its breath, a great many fans standing up and leaving the room the second that Olmstead said that Wentworth got stuck in LA shooting some pick-ups. Hmm, does that seem dubious or what? ...... Well, not everyone can always get to where they need to be, you know.. If you wish to read spoilers which they posted on their website, read up on it on the website at Buddytv.com!! -- there's always next time! Angela Content Management Powered by CuteNews
